Other less obvious ways we often pollute our waters is from gas emission from our cars. Similar to factories, these pollutants are washed away into the water bodies creating issues. Another thing could be gardening, where pesticides our soil could be washed into water bodies creating problems.

Littering in Singapore
Industrial
Pollution from industries usually take form
as air pollution from coal or fuel production
in factories that affect our water quality when
it is washed into our water bodies. A island
revolving around industrial use that would
come to mind is Jurong Island. We see that
Jurong Island has much chemical production.
A concern would be that if an accident were to
happen, the chemicals could be a hazard to our
waters.

A major issue that would come to mind
is littering as people are unaware that
their litter could be washed away into
water bodies from precipitation and some
people even litter into the river
Other issues
Pipe leakage, poor waste management and other issues could also plague us and this can be detrimental to our water quality as unecessary mixture of poisonous substances with our water bodies are better avoided as contamination of our water sources and water bodies could happen. Other issues like water sports or construction done by inconsiderate users in our water reservoirs could cause litter and contamination in our rivers. Thus strict laws, morals and safety measurements are the only things that can keep our water quality safe.
